With Facebook, keeping on top of things is the key- and this means almost daily monitoring of any changes that they are likely to make.
I can only speak for myself, but when the Timeline was introduced, my first and perhaps, strongest feeling about it was of deep disappointment. The original forum-like communication style with your page's fans was completely undermined and the fan's posts wiped off. (Or so it seemed! You now can manually highlight them so that they will appear on the Timeline)
Reading the posts was more like watching a tennis game, I found (and still do) it annoying and inconvenient. It was supposed to be chronological and it kind of is, but they decided to go for this two-column nuisance, which makes it quite confusing to follow for most of us.
So the good news is that Facebook is now testing a single column timeline design and some personal profiles have already been converted into the new format. But this is not all, there is a huge makeover coming: the tabs will look completely different, the name is moving over to the lower end of the cover image and you get much more control of featuring and reordering most of the sections, etc.
My own personal profile has not changed yet, so here is an example from Mari Smith's personal profile with some additional changes that will be introduced with the new view. (click on the image below for larger view with details on the new changes)
